Sumner County

Sumner County is northeast of Nashville and reaches to the border of Kentucky. Approximately one third of the jobs in Sumner County are in manufacturing-related companies such as Donnelley Printing Company, Yamakaw Manufacturing, and Fleetwood Homes.

Sumner County is a popular place to live because of the affordable housing and the activities that it offers. Goodlettsville connects Sumner and Davidson Counties and houses one of the state's largest retail districts. Many of its neighborhoods have affordably-priced houses with larger yards and mature landscaping. Hendersonville, Sumner's largest town, also offers more affordable waterfront lots on Old Hickory Lake than some of the areas on the Davidson County side of the lake. Wilson County

If you are looking to live in a rural area, but being close to downtown Nashville and the airport is also important to you, Wilson County may be the place for you. Wilson County is distinguishing because of its country environment and fields populated with many evergreen cedar trees. It employs many thousands of workers in a variety of companies such as Toshiba, Tennessee Woolen Mills, and Hartmann Luggage. It is also home of the corporate offices of Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, Inc.

Lebanon is Wilson County's largest city and its county seat. It offers a variety of different types of houses surrounded by beautiful foliage and scenic hillsides. It is close to Old Hickory Lake and J. Percy Priest Lake, offering lots of fun for water enthusiasts. Mt. Juliet is the closest city to downtown Nashville in Wilson County. It offers new construction, older homes with larger lots, and some waterfront properties. Watertown is on the eastern border of the county and offers some newer homes as well as affordable older homes that are popular with those who enjoy remodeling and restoration of older architecture.

Robertson County

North of Nashville, you will find Robertson County. It can be reached by way of I-24, I-65, and U.S. 431. Robertson County is widely known for its manufacturing plants. It has more than 70, including Frigidaire Range Products, one of the world's largest manufacturers of its kind. It is also high on the state's list for farm income. Its two main communities are Springfield, the County Seat, and White House.
